Divine Messages - 209 : Words of Wisdom by Dada J P Vaswani

Some words of wisdom by Dada J P Vaswani.
  • Science has been unable to provide peace. Only spirituality can lead us to attainment of peace within ourselves, one another and with the world.
  • Spirituality or the Spiritual life has 5 main tenets - or pillars or the 5 fingers – (a) Truth: Speak the truth always. (b) Faith: Turn over your life in child-like trust to the Lord. (c) Do your duty and a little more. (d) Acceptance: Always believe that there is a meaning of mercy in everything that happens. And the 5th one and an essential one for Spiritual Life (e) Daily Practice of Silence.
  • In the eyes of God, there are no hopeless cases.
  • Throw down the blinds and let love in.
  • Love and peace of mind keep us healthy and help in facing the problems of daily life.
  • Connect to God as often as you can. Reserve just one minute for God every hour.
  • What the sad world needs today is JOY.... Joy is something that comes from within
  • Keep on smiling from within- it is this smile from within that will keep you happy and you will be a carrier of joy in this world of tragedy and tears
  • Grace knows no laws. If you deserve, it is not Grace.....
  • In your dealings with the Guru, Karma has no part.
  • Suicide is not destined. It is taking the law in your hands.

Some words of wisdom by Dada J P Vaswani
    • Knowledge talks: wisdom listens.
    • Do not distinguish between superior and inferior work. What matters is not where you work but how you work.
    • LOVE: I know no other art
    • Upgrade yourself by all means. But never degrade another.
    • Whatever you do, do it in the best way you can. It is your offering to the Lord.
    • God always acts at the right time: and if He does not act, it only means that the right time is not yet!
    • Have you had a bad day? Thank God for helping you cope with it & thank Him that the difficult day is over.
    • God is the rock of the ages. If only we build on Him, there will be no uncertainty.
    • Every conquered temptation unfolds some hidden power - and strengthens our moral and spiritual muscles.
    • Pride is the most worthwhile thing to swallow. It is the only thing which, when swallowed, never chokes.
    • Compassion is the key to World Peace.

Divine Messages - 206 : Snacks For The Soul by Dada J. P. Vaswani - The Portals Of Paradise

An extract from the book “Snacks For The Soul” by Dada J. P. Vaswani.

There is a lovely story about a teacher who set out to seek God. He started off his journey in search of the heavenly world and, after much wandering, arrived at its gates. "Who are you'?" asked the gatekeeper. "A teacher," he replied. The gatekeeper told him to wait, "I shall go in and report." He returned after a while and told the teacher, "I'm afraid you will have to return. The Master says that there is no place in the heaven for teachers." True it was since so many teachers were no more than traders in words. They lived in a world of vanity and were proud of their little learning, and loved to parade it. How could there be a place in the heaven for such as them?

The teacher was disheartened and began to retrace his steps back to the earth. Just as he was about to leave the portals of paradise he heard a divine voice. "O teacher, the dust of dead words clings to thee. Go and wash thy self of this dust in the waters of silence" The teacher spent some time in silence. He entered, deeper and deeper, into the silence of the soul within him. Once again, he heard the voice, A true teacher is a friend. He is a friend to his fellow teachers, a friend to his pupils, a friend to all men and birds and animals. The true teacher is a friend to each and every creation of the Almighty Lord." The teacher understood well, the meaning of these words. He then spoke, "May I be a friend to all, a friend to men, birds and animals, a friend to all who suffer and who are in pain. May I be a friend to every tree and flower, every stone and stream! May I be a true friend to all!" Even as he breathed out this prayer, the portals of paradise opened to him. Angels from paradise came out to welcome him, "Blessed among mortals are you! Come in and behold the Master!"
